Mechanisms And Robotic Systems Lab
Welcome to the Mechanisms And Robotic Systems (MARS) lab at Purdue University!
The research at the Mechanisms And Robotic Systems (MARS) Lab is centered on advancing robotics through innovation in tactile sensing, mechanism design, intelligent control, and robot learning. The team is actively engaged in developing technologies for reconfigurable robot design, multimodal sensing, applied machine learning and AI for robotic manipulation. Our work spans a diverse array of applications - from underwater exploration to advanced manufacturing processes, and from healthcare assistance to precision agriculture. We emphasize the integration of mechanical intelligence with tactile sensing, control, and learning to enhance intelligent automation across these varied fields. Our goal is to develop safe and highly performing robots that can work in dynamic environments with humans, side by side, to perform challenging tasks.
