July 2024,  MARS lab participated in the Multiethnic Introduction to Engineering (MITE) program and offered multiple lab tours for Minority Engineering Program (MEP) students. MITE is an outreach strategy aiming to attract underrepresented students, i.e., African American, Native American, Hispanic American, to pursue engineering at Purdue.

June 2024,  Dr. She presented about autonomy and robotics to young African leaders with the Mandela Washington Fellowship. This is the flagship program of the U.S. government’s Young African Leadership ( YALI), and has brought nearly 6500 young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa to U.S. for academic and leadership training. 

June 2024,  MARS lab participated in the Pre-Freshman and Cooperative Education (PREFACE) residential summer workshop and offered multiple lab tours for Minority Engineering Program (MEP) students. PREFACE is an early outreach strategy aiming to attract underrepresented students, i.e., African American, Native American, Hispanic American, to Purdue. 

May 2024,  MARS lab collaborated with  Blue Sky Summer Scholars program and offered a interactive lab demo session for Ivy Tech Community College students.

April 2024, Purdue MARS lab offered an interactive session for high school students from the Southport High School, 971 E Banta Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Students enjoyed to play with the robotic teleoperation systems and high-resolution vision based tactile sensors. 

May 2023, Purdue MARS lab offered a lab tour for the high school students from the Dayton Regional STEM School, 1724 Woodman Dr, Kettering, OH 45420.

June 2022, Dr. She participated a week-long Summer Camp and delivered a robotic introduction seminar for the Purdue Polytechnic High School Students.

August 2022, Dr. She co-organized the 2022 ASME Student Mechanism & Robot Design Competition.
